French Pillivuyt Mehun Large Brown Teapot with Side Spout

This is a French hard paste porcelain large milk chocolate coloured teapot. The date is the 20th century, sometime after 1926. The maker is Pillivuyt. The distributor of the teapot inside of England is J. Chomette & Sons Ltd. Chomette is the distributor. The Pilivite mark was registered in 1926, which is stamped on the bottom of this teapot inside an oval, with Pilivite above and Mehun, France below. The shape is lovely, with the handle one on side and the spout on an adjacent side. This specific teapot is large, and meant to serve tea for two or more people. Pillivuyt is a porcelain company, mostly producing in Mehun, France, and mostly porcelain for the kitchen. The quality of their porcelain production is equivalent to Limoges.
