This rare first edition Milne title, one of his first works and most sought-after. London, Methuen & Co., 1927. 8vo, a very good copy in original red cloth, illustrated and lettered gilt. First edition. Now We Are Six is a book of thirty-five childrenâs verses by A. A. Milne, with illustrations by E. H. Shepard. It includes poems such as "King John's Christmas", "Binker" and "Pinkle Purrâ. Eleven of the poems in the collection are accompanied by illustrations featuring Winnie-the-Pooh. These include: "The Charcoal Burnerâ, âUs Twoâ, "The Engineer", "Furry Bear", "Knight-in-armour", 'The Friendâ, âThe Morning Walk", "Waiting at the Window", "Forgottenâ, âIn the Darkâ and âThe Endâ.
